01Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how gari8 (“the developer”, “we”) handles information in the iPhone app “Invitation to the Kikai Mansion” (“the App”).
Effective: October 22, 2026 · Last updated: October 24, 2026
02Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location. The App has no account registration, and we do not send records of how you play the App to ourselves.
03Camera
The camera is used only to match the brightness of the rooms to your surroundings. Only a brightness value is used; images are never saved or sent.
You can play without allowing it (the brightness stays fixed).
04Microphone
The App does not use the microphone.
05Motion sensors
The “compass needle” puzzle uses the direction your device is facing. It is calculated by the compass alone without using your location, and is never saved or sent. Looking around the rooms is done only by swiping.
06Location
The App does not ask for location permission and does not use your location.
07Advertising (Google AdMob)
A full-screen ad is shown after you escape a room.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. To serve ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, Google may use information such as:
- Your device’s advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking)
- Approximate location inferred from your IP address
- Records of ad impressions and taps
- Device information such as the device model and OS version
For ads, the App may ask for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). You can play everything in the App without allowing it, and you can change this at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
In regions such as the EU and the UK, the App asks for your consent for advertising first. You can change your choices at any time from “Ad Privacy Settings” in the App’s settings.
For how Google handles information, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
08In-app purchases
The App offers the following in-app purchases:
- Remove Ads (one-time purchase
- ¥500)
Purchases and payments are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment information.
09News and notifications (iCloud and Apple Push Notifications)
The App’s “News” only reads posts the developer publishes to iCloud (a CloudKit public database). No information about you is sent.
Only if you turn on “Receive Notifications” in the App’s settings, the App asks for notification permission and registers with iCloud. This registration is created in your own iCloud account; the developer cannot see who has registered.
You can stop notifications by turning off “Receive Notifications” in the App’s settings, or in iPhone Settings → Notifications.
10Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not collect personal information, but if we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians can contact us using the details below.
11Data on your device
The App stores the following only on your device and never sends it anywhere: your play records (which rooms you escaped, best times and settings). Deleting the App deletes this data.
12Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the update on this page. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
